Competitive cross-country (mountain) running/racing
A sport where people run a race on open-air courses over natural terrain is called cross country running. It uses very little specialized equipment. They wear shorts and vests or singlets. For 2012, the European Athletics confirmed that the city of Denizli as the new host of the 2012 European Mountain Running Championships or EMRC. The 11th edition of the championships was awarded by the European Athletics Executive Board to the city in the Southwestern part of Turkey. This will be held on July 7, 2012 at the district of Pamukalle.
